E.L. Foust 160AN Auto Air Purifier is all metal construction with a no odor finish, & contains 3 lbs. of activated carbon mix and controls particles with an optional HEPA rated at 0.1 micron efficiency. It has performed well in independent lab tests; and is used & recommended by allergists & environmental doctors nationwide.

Please Note: The alpha stat is not required, but it can extend the life of the cartridge by preventing the carbon pores from getting filled with particulate which reduces the amount of surface exposed to fumes that can get adsorbed by the carbon. Normal cartridge life expectancy is 6-9 months.

Decibel rating is 18 @ 3 feet.

This Air Purifier is the Best! I highly recommend it! I have the 160AN, and it has been a blessing, both in my vehicle, and in my tiny home. We had bad smoke, from a fire filled with chemicals. The air was thick with it. I closed my windows and turned on my Foust Air Purifier, and within a few minutes, I was breathing clean air! It has helped when the dust and pollen has been high too! The wonderful thing is, it does not bring any smells of its own. As someone who is Allergic to the 21st Century, (aka, EI or Multiple Chemical Sensitivities) that is of prime importance. I have the DC version, and have been grateful that this unit does not have a big draw on my solar system. Great Customer Service. They go the extra mile. I cannot say enough good about this unit, and the company.
